Elder Larry Grant is a Faculty Fellow of\u00a0the College.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The sympsosium will offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Papers (20 minutes, with 10 minutes for discussion)<\/li>\n<li>Lecture Recitals (30 minutes, with discussion)<\/li>\n<li>Workshops (1 hour)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Access Supports for the Symposium:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The symposium organizers\u00a0will provide maximum access support\u00a0to the best of our ability.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0symposium is in a hybrid format, welcoming both online\u00a0and in-person synchronous\u00a0presentations. All symposium\u00a0sessions will include Sign Language interpretation, and Communication Access Real Time (CART) captioning. In addition,\u00a0hired students will be available to provide help moving around\u00a0the University of British Columbia for both days of the\u00a0symposium. All symposium materials will be available in large print format (24 point,\u00a0Sans\u00a0Serif).\u00a0\u00a0For participants\u00a0attending in person, there will be a designated quiet room, and we will provide a scent-free environment.\u00a0For participants\u00a0attending online\u00a0(Zoom), participating in discussion both by speaking and by typing will be available.\u00a0Symposium\u00a0organizers will read typed comments and questions aloud for everyone.
